I'M TOOOOTALLY PSYCHED! It was a wonderful day today and i'm walking on sunshine!!!! wheeeeeeeee! Well, I woke up at 6 am to get ready for our band competition at 7am, put my hair in a ponytail and left for band. Sadly, my ponytail was just undone and my hair was smothered with gel and then put into a ponytail again. and then after the whole hair bun business, we all left and sat int he bus for one and a half hours. wheee. i got to sleep. =D at the band review, we marched and blah blah blah and i lost my pendant while coming back from changing out of my uniform. i found it later! YAY FOR MIRACLES! and then we went to the awards ceremony. the schools were all actually very friendly and fun to cheer against. 2400 sats! We're all taking 5 aps! sine, cosine, cosine, sine! 3.14159!!! We also started singing spongebob squarepants since we didn't have many cheers. hahaha! We got only one trophy, which was for our band. no auxillary, drum major, or percussion awards. =( but we got third place, which my freshman buddy never thought we could achieve. we later realized that if we had just repeated the STINKING TRIO a few times, we could have gotten first!!! aaaaaaaah!!!!! but that proves that we're really good, even with the new, inexperienced freshmen. =)
We had a two-hour break after we got back from our band review before we had to set off for the homecoming game. it was a reaaallly bad game. the whole time, i was pretty much ignoring it and singing some of the songs i knew. Skwok and I were trying to harmonize our "haaappy happy biiiirthday" song, but we failed. =/ my throat was already getting pretty hoarse from singing all day long. all my friends thought i went psycho....meeheeheeheee! yeaaap. during the halftime, i had to get a drink, so i missed the announcements, but my friends told me the results! JUNIORS GOT FIRST! I was jumping around due to the sugar and our magnificent victory against the seniors that so blatantly insulted us during their airband. grrrr....but then later, when i saw an onion, i felt bad for being so hyper, because he was a senior who was tired and depressed over the loss of the football game (0:40) and the senior's unprecedented third place. WELL, enough of that. I NEED TO STUDY FOR APUSH AND THE SAT!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Ohhh my goodness! I just had my "interview" today for the animal shelter volunteering. i'm awfully excited. To be able to handle the animals instead of just watching their adorable little faces through the cold iron bars is more thrilling than I can express. I don't mind the grunt work I must do as part of the job, since I already have to do that with my own pets. Sure, picking up dog feces and doing the laundry isn't fun, but it's not that bad. Furthermore, if I get to volunteer, I might be able to convince the shelter's veterinarian to let me watch the surgeries so I can get he gist of the veterinary field. It would be a good experience and it would help me really decide if I want to become a vet. I'm pretty sure I do, but there's no harm in making sure. And since the animal shelter is part of the police department, I can ask for a letter of recommendation from the sergeant. It would look really good on the college apps. ;D I think I was accepted as a volunteer, but I'm not exactly sure. I got my badge picture taken, and I was told that I would be good for the job, but they never said exactly if I was accepted. I don't really see why not, but maybe. Supposedly they're going to do a background check to make sure I don't have a criminal record and call for an orientation. And then I'll know for sure.
What's interesting is that in the quarantine room there is the dog who mauled the lady. I didn't actually get to see it, but my...uh...interviewer told me when he showed me around.
Does anyone want a pet? There's really cute animals there. I was tempted to adopt all of them. eeheeheeheee... They're all so...so...CUTE!
By now, I think everyone who didn't know that I was an animal freak realizes it now.

So...school has started. I feel that this year is going to be a quagmire in my life - perhaps it is because the new beginning of my junior year was a lot more than slightly disappointing. As many of you know, I was misplaced in band; instead of advanced band, I was fitted with the freshmen. It's double the horror. Band is already pretty dull and irritating, but being shoved into the wrong period like a wrong puzzle piece just tops it all off. To make things worse, I got into Bellotti's APUSH class. Wheeee...Furthermore, I don't really genuinely enjoy any of the subjects I'm taking this year. Perhaps I'll come to like chemistry. Who knows?
Well, enough whining about school. I'm feeling horrifically excited about this Saturday. The animal shelter had finally responded to my application for volunteering a little while ago, and sent a letter. I signed the permission what-not and sent it in and blah blah blah, and finally they called yesterday. We set an interview date, and I'm feeling really happy! I'm hoping I don't mess up so I can volunteer. As probably all of you know, I'm an animal enthusiast, and the animal shelter work is a whole lot more interesting than sitting with the dogs at Petsmart. Though Petsmart does have some awfully adorable puppies occasionally. Yay for puppies!
I love my Truffle~! So cuuute and smaaart and fluuuuffy! ^-^
I think about random things. For example, does God make a lot of souls and then put them in babies or does he make them the second the babies come to be? o_o and...what if one of my friends became the ruler of the world? I find that a little intimidating. Even the very though of parfait driving is scary...what if she became a power-hungry greedy old miser who managed to conquer the world?
Uh huh. You have just peered into the chaos of my brain. My own sister doesn't even know what I babble about most of the time. Once, in Hong Kong, I was really very bored and my sister was just playing her gameboy. and playing. and playing. and so on. And then I started accusing her of controlling a whole hoard of angry chickens through her gameboy and that she was plotting to take over the free world. She was pretty indifferent to my hour of rambling and then said, "Soon, you'll accuse [our cousin] of being a hoard of angry chickens in diguise!" and then our cousin walked in. She hadn't seen him for a year, but as soon as he walked in, we both started letting out peals of laughter. He was very confused.
APUSH homework! aaaah!

okay...so orientation was yesterday. and yesterday stunk like truffle's breath when he chooses to digest feces. okay, so in the morning, i picked up my glasses, only to see they were bent at a 90 degree angle. when i tried to bend them back, they snapped in two. in my mind, i was screaming, "HAAAH?!!!!" good thing i don't really need my glasses, but they really do help. and then my friend picked me up and we went to school. when i got my schedule and compared it with my friends, i realized i was in the WRONG BAND CLASS. in my mind i screamed- "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" and then i actually screamed. as some of my friends know, i was completely freaking out, despite my common sense. well, at least the rest of the orientation went smoothly and i actually got an ok picture. but then there was band camp. ohhh how i despise band camp. the long relentless boring hours of band! at least yesterday was the last day, and was four hours instead of the normal 7. but no one even wanted to go to the potluck after it was over. we were all tired and wanted to go home after orientation and band camp. i was sure that i would pass out considering i didn't have time to eat lunch when i got home and i slept at 3:30 am, and we were all standing in then sun. two freshmen collapsed the other day. buut at least yesterday is over!
grad night was pretty spiffy, if i must say so myself. the decorations were awesome! i'm feeling kinda guilty since i didn't really do anything, other than make vines, help trace some words, cut out fishies, and cut chicken bits, but i really had fun! becca was really funny in the sumo-wrestling game. =D but it's gonna be sad without the graduates! *sniffo*
tomorrow is the 5:30 am youth alive summit! wheeee! i'm bringin Truffle for sho'! maybe Lucky. he yaks in the car. and piddles. basically he gets carsick. well, off to bed so i can get up early!

Heeeey y'alls! It's strange dream telling time! Yeah, so in the past two days, I've had really random dreams that just make me laugh.
So day before yesterday, I had an odd dream I have told some of you out of boredom and it goes somewhat like this: My friend and I walked into a mall that i've never been to before, and went into a stationery store. We saw a normal door in the back of the little, miniscule room and against my principles (when i'm awake), walked right through. We were transported into an unknown world. When we looked around, we saw a dimly-lit room of cold tile. It was strangely silent. We walked around and eventually came upon a little pool in the back of the place. When we peered in, we saw a school of brightly colored koi. They looked much like normal koi, until they started talking. And then my friend and I realized that one of them was Jesus in the form of a fish. At this point we realized that we needed to get back to our own dimension and asked Jesus for some help. He said nothing, and we exasperatedly walked around some more until we found a beautiful globe. It had an alluring gloss to it and when we touched it, we were sucked into yet another world. [I don't remember the world, so forget that] We eventually were sucked back out, and the Jesus-fish told us that he'd send us back home if we could convince an alien not to invade Earth while we were underwater. Of course, my friend and i had to agree, so we dunked ourselves underwater and waited for the alien. Sure enough, a typical-looking, almond-headed, algae-green alie appeared above the water. We tried in vain to speak to it, but as one would expect, we could only garble out nothingness. But one way or another, we eventually started to play with the alien. We poked it, and it poked back harder. and harder. and harder. it started to hurt. The we prayed to Jesus to help, and then the alien disappeared and we were back, dry, on land. He told us the way back to the door, and we left. We walked through the door and we were back in the stationery store. Then I ditched my friend and started to fly around the mall. I saw some of my friends and two of them and i had a race. me with my flying, and the other two with some gadgets or another. I won, and at the end of our finishing point i saw some more friends. and then i flew back to the stationery store. i walked back into the dimension-portal-door thing and saw some friends doing something like yoga on some mats on the the floor. and i walked back out. Well, I was in a stationery store then so i looked for those squishy, gel-grip pencils - and of course they didn't have it...My family came for me after that and i was about to go home when i woke up.
I don't really remember much of yesterday's dream, but I dreamt that I went to my friend's house for her birthday party (which is actually day after tomorrow), except her house was a giant mansion. And when we went in it was GIGANTIC. okay whatever. but that's nothing compared to her backyard. There was a icy MOUNTAIN RANGE in her backyard! and part of her party was to let people hike through it. So I was wandering around by myself and i thought i was gonna die because i nearly fell into a deep chasm. Later, all the missionites filed into a large assembly room for some meeting or another. It was like a concert hall with velvety, wine-red carpets and soft, cushy chairs. I was late and had to sit waaaay in the back away from anyone i really knew. It suuuucked. Well after the boring blah blah speeches, we filed down some stairs into a smaller, less extravagant room. The carpet was split into two sections - one side red, the other side blue. Apparently there was a red group and a blue group, and since i was late, i had no idea where to go. I asked my supposed friends, but they didn't know where i was supposed to go. I eventually bumped into my neighbor, and I asked him, and he said that he came to the house by Diggle Way or something and so he was in the Red Group. I remembered that I went to my friend's house to Diggle Way too, so I joined the Red Group, still kinda unsure if that was the right place to go. After all, who separates people by the street they go on to go to her house? and then i woke up.
Weeeeird and inane dreams. I think I may have a psychological problem here...
YAH so anywhoooo i went rock climbing today with a few friends who were also on the youth rock climbing team. We had lots o' FUN! After joining in June, I've improved and it makes me happy. I can now flash a 5.9! I know that's not a great accomplishment, but to me it is. Now only to actually do a 5.10-...Anyway, it's nice to actually have friends who enjoy rock climbing too. It's rather irritating not being able to go because practically all your friends either don't like it or are afraid of heights... Anyone want to climb? =D
Heading off to Europe soon. I'm just hoping that the seats on the plane will be comfortable. =.= But it'll be fun seeing my relatives again. I haven't seen one of my cousins for a year, since she's from Hong Kong. You might remember her, parfait. she's salad. and i'll see my sister from sd for the first time since winter break last year. she didn't go with us to Japan last summer, since she doesn't like the fact that they still practice whaling. =1 in that case, i shouldn't go to Alaska...but I like Alaska~!
I really needa kick my sister's posterior because she's playing a stupid RPG. She should be working on the threadless design!! imustgetmycutmuahahaha. just kidding. But if she ever submits her design, i'll be sure to post it. f'sho!

8:23 pm - Mother's Day!
|
|
So today, we went to church and listened to a certain mother talk about her miracle child. yaah. i will not name names, so that's it. and in theology class, we were talking about unintentional errors in the bible. Some of you may be thinking, "ERRORS?! IN THE BIBLE?!! AAAHAHAHA!" but okay, whatever.
Later, after church we went to coyote hills with the fluffs. Our beagle yakked on the way there, since he gets carsick really easily. when we arrived, my seester and i decided to walk up the hill, while me mother went the less-steep way. we were supposed to meet up a little later, but me seester wanted to keep going along the path to see if it was shorter than going back. so we kept on going, and we couldn't really see where the end was. it was kinda neat 'cause i got to see a green snake zip across the path. since we couldn't see where we were going, i dragged me seester up a really steep hill and made her feel the burn. hahaha! and then went back down, since we realized the way not through the over the two steep hills was shorter. so we went along, eventually finding a path we recognized, and saw some sheep. truffo and beagle were whining when they saw them. sure, a shetland SHEEPdog, but why a beagle? anyways...we continued along the path and arrived at a parking lot, but the wrong parking lot. we realized we overshot the one we were supposed to meet at. so we walked a little while more, and along the way, met a little girl and her parents who really like dogs. so we stopped for a moment a let the little girl pet truff and beago, and then went along. our mom called for the tenth time, asking us where we were, and we told her we were almost there. by the time we arrived at our car, we had walked for two hours instead of one. but that was fun.
after the hike, we went to eat at black angus. we had already made a reservation for four, but they thought my mom's name was elizabeth toon with a party of two. kiiiinda WRONG. so they gave us a free sampler for waiting longer than we were supposed to. while me seester and i were finishing our big mountain fudge cake thing, our parents started quibbling. after a little while, my mother turned to me seester and said, "I'm not talking to him anymore! He started it!" my sister and i stared at her for a moment before busting out laughing. and then my dad had to say, "WHAT?! nuh-uhhh! do you know what she did?!!" of course, we started laughing harder because this was like a children's whiny argument on TV. my sister nearly choked on her half of the cake, and ended up not finishing it because she was laughing too hard. we never heard the rest of the arguement because we were being too loud ourselves.
in a dream i had before, i was a canine leader of a canine mafia group. i worked with a mad scientist. he told me that my job was to pick fights with whatever dog came in, and whoever didn't start to fight back wasn't good enough to recruit. and incidentally, my australian shepherd sister (who wasn't any of my actual sisters), came in and said, "brother! brother! what are you doing? can i join your pack??" and i thought to myself, waaaait a minute, did she just say I was her BROTHER?! oookay, so apparently, i'm a male. well, whatever, doesn't matter. now i need to see if she's up to par. and so i started to growl and bristle at her. When she didn't do anything, i started to chase her away, beyond the fence (i dunno where the fence came from) and a whole bunch of other dogs started to follow. and when she was safely (?) beyond the fence, she said, "When you need help, no one will help you, and you will DIE!" at the time, i was in the bushes by the fence, and i didn't care about what she said, and walked out. and then i turned into my female, human self again. i walked up a path, and then my friend, (cursedcherri) started shrieking, "YEAAAAH! GO GET HER!" and then i woke up. wow, talk about strange dream.
Another dream i had took place in my house, on the same neighborhood. everything in my dream was realistic, except the entire city was fancier, higher-class, and less polluted. and i could fly. so i walked with my mom to her classes (?) at ohlone (?), and then she suddenly stopped and said, "Could you go back home and pick up my forms? i left them at home. but don't fly to low over the houses, they might think you're spying on them. so i flew, but over a random stadium from i dunno where, i accidentally flew too low, and every one looked up and yelled, "HIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!" It was scary. and so i ignored them and flew over to my house. i was going to get the forms, but i go distracted and went up to the hills behind onion and his neighbor's houses, where there was a dino park that was much like jurassic park. eventually, i flew back home, and realized how late it was, and that i forgot to get my mom her forms for her classes. i thought, well, i can still go back and give her the forms since she's just getting out of class now. so i got her forms, and walked out. i looked at the sky, and realized it was realllly foggy and cloudy and i couldn't see past my nose. and i remember my mom saying, "don't fly when it's foggy, you'll get lost!" and then i thought, ooohhh man...now what?! and then i woke up, thinking, that...was...stupid!!!
YEAH! so talk about random post. it's just that i had to post something because i today was kinda strange and my dreams were a little too memorable. so if you read all my randomness, thanks...i guess. ;D
something i forgot to mention...yesterday, for the california world history project (cwhp), we were originally supposed to be stuck in the conference from 7-4:30, but ended up being 7-7:30 because the bus broke down and we were stranded for another three hours. it was rush-hour traffic, so the repair people couldn't get there for a lloooong time. so we were doing nothing for about three hours, and were treated to more pizza for dinner (we had some for lunch) and more caffeinated soda. it was because of the soda that i had a headache for an entire day today. so if anyone noticed i was tired/snippy, it was because i had a caffeine-induced hangover. >.<

I'm really stressed out right now...Mostly because of the fear of being Karmalized tomorrow. Who wouldn't be stressed? (other than alex) It feels like my gut is being ripped out and flipped inside-out. Lovely. And a really good question would be why I'm still on the computer when I could be studying for the test...or memorizing my lines for the spanish mini-play. And looking ahead to possible colleges is really starting to make my hair white, especially with my loving parents' PRESSURE.
Aussie in 22 days!!!
Photography is really starting to interest me. Sadly, I stink at it. Sometimes it's easier to draw something, where the subject can be doing whatever whenever you want, if that makes sense. But coloring can be kinda frustrating when there isn't a single color that matches what I have in my head.
Still feeling woozy and dizzy... @.@ Go away you annoying cold!

Nuuu! i have failed! my pre-destined doom to failure has finally come to be! All those Karmalized people will know what i'm talking about. Who's joining me at some low-classed college? hahaha...muy triste. I was happy earlier this week because of la prueba facil, but my happiness just went down the drain.
Aussie in 29 days~! *^.^*
Anyways, turns out i'm taking apush next year. Goodbye sleep and hello eye bags! Hehehe. Next year is going to be pretty stinky. english, spanish 3, apush, chemistry, two periods of band, and honors pre-cal. all things i do not enjoy very much. It's the foretelling of a bleak year. =_=

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me.
It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.
When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your LJ and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.
Yep. from cursedcherri's lj post. So should i take apush? >< i'm thinking and thinking here and i can't decide! help me! aaaand i think junior year is going to stink. but whatever. senior year is going to be busy with lots of aps! blargh. the stress of thinking ahead! hrmmmmmmmmmmm...apush?

wow...so yesterday, at friday fellowship, the girls and guys split up to talk about...issues in our lives. so I was sitting with my fellow girls in a circle, and it was INTENSE! Lot's of emotions running high. Won't reveal anymore, so sorry!
um...yeah. so, today my friends and i went shopping for practically the whole day, and we didn't buy ANYTHING. it made me feel dissatisfied. Curse my stereotypical asian cheapness! Oh wait! I got an "egg" from those little machines that you stick four quarters in and turn the thingy. I doubt people will know what I'm talking about, but anywhoooo...have a Happy Chinese New Year tomorrow!!

IM BACK! my puppy got bigger. lots bigger. and fatter. Oo. his fat jiggles when you rub his belly. lolz. my beagle didn't get any fatter at the kennel. only my sheltie pup... i don't really see how that works. beagle's are known to eat themselves to death, and the sheltie is the only one that gets fat. my puppy also isn't so high-pitched anymore, and that's a relief. -_-
school's gonna start pretty soon, and i am not looking forward to it. >< it looks like a giant trash bin. Oo i do not recommend using the bathrooms there. lol. how fun.

hiyas ppl! just came back from alaskan cruise! :D Alaska was really cool. we went whale watching in juneau and saw a bunch of humpback whales. then we went to see big red salmon spawning in a river. then we went to the salmon bake to eat lunch. there were ribs, chicken, and (of course) salmon. the day after that, we went to sitka on a sea otter and wildlife excursion and we saw lotz of otters and humback whales that swam yards away from the boat!!! the whales in the whale watch at juneau didn't do that! lolz. in ketchikan we went to misty fjords with the thousand waterfalls. >< i didn't like it. no wildlife. just waterfalls. though i suppose the waterfalls were pretty enough. the next day, we arrived at victoria, canada at 8 pm and we went to butchart gardens to see fireworks. it was not really worth it. we were stuck in the back and had to look between and over people's heads... right after the fireworks we had to leave. >< i wish we went somewhere else.... >< after victoria, we went back to seattle. we stayed in our relatives'(dad's side) house for a day and then today we were picked up by my mom's sister. now im in canada again. lolz
im going to be back home in four days. my puppy probably got lots bigger since its been a month since i last saw him... can't wait to go home and see my pup!! im puppy deprived! Oo lol. see you all later!

I'm back! i FINALLY got a wolf jacket. wheeee! and a haircut. >< gelato is yuummmmy. ^_^ my sister is a nutcase and got a bag of jelly beans, a bag of chocolate, and two bags of cotton candy. i personally thought she was insane. her teeth and tongue turned blue and she couldn't finish the other bag of pink cotton candy by the time we had to leave, so she gave it to my cousin. while skiing, my fingers froze and i had to wear glove liners, mittens, and hand warmers in order to keep my fingers warm. and then i had to wear two pairs of socks and three thick layers of clothing. i also had to wear a neck warmer and goggles. and THEN i had to put on the extremely uncomfortable ski boots. we stayed at an inn we could ski to, but my aunts got lost so we had to lug the skis all the way up a hill with our ski boots on. by the time we got to the room, i was dead tired. anyways, i think i've had enough skiing for one year.
